Law School Admissions Coach

Guiding aspiring lawyers to achieve their dreams

of attending top law schools

About Me

Welcome to my Law School Admissions Coaching page! I'm Rebecca, an attorney who is passionate about helping others achieve their law school goals.

I'm a graduate of Princeton University and the University of Michigan Law School. I've worked as a scientist, writer, teacher, federal judicial law clerk, and legal scholar. During law school, I served as a senior editor of the Michigan Law Review and taught an undergraduate upper-level writing course on natural resources, policy, and economics. I also have several years of experience guiding applicants just like you on their law school application journey.

As a nontraditional applicant with a STEM background, I remember how confusing the law school application process can be. I understand what law schools are looking for, and how to present your unique story in the most compelling way. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and writing expertise with you to help you achieve your law school goals!

Please note: I only accept a few clients at a time to ensure you get my full attention.

Additional Consulting

Feel like you need more feedback after the first round of consulting and editing? You can book additional a la carte hours of consulting at a rate of $250/hour, whether it's for live consulting time or editing. However, I only offer additional a la carte consulting to clients who commit to one of the full consulting packages above.

I encourage my clients to use our time effectively: much of my feedback in your first round of edits can be applied to other essays you may have to write. As a result, additional rounds of edits are rarely needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I work with you?

Why don't you offer start to finish consulting, or hourly consulting alone?

I specifically do not offer “full service” packages, unlike many other consultants. When I was applying to law school, I remember feeling like all I needed was a little extra help - someone to lay eyes on my application, help me understand a few additional details about the process, and feel confident in my materials. But all the consultants I spoke to offered the full variety of packages, and I felt like their attention wasn’t really on me because I wasn’t a full time client. So, what I offer is exactly what I wish I’d had access to when I was applying - all at an affordable and transparent price point. If you are searching for end-to-end support, there are dozens of other fantastic full service consultants on the market.

What essays will I need to submit for law school applications?

In addition to a personal statement, many applicants submit a diversity statement; an addendum addressing character and fitness issues (such as an arrest) or potential flaws in an application (such as a bad grade or a gap in your resume); and/or “Why X” statements (essays which address why you want to go to that particular law school). Some schools offer prompts for additional essays beyond these.

What if I haven’t written any drafts yet and need help coming up with ideas?

We can frontload the live consulting time to brainstorm ideas, and establish a schedule for you to write your first drafts. You can always add additional a la carte consulting after the first round of edits are complete.
